![]() The top 100 players with the highest Splatfest Power on each team will be featured on leaderboards viewable on Splatnet 2. You get more Clout by beating teams with a higher Splatfest Power. There is no Synergy Bonus in this mode and Clout is only earned when you win matches. Unlike Normal Mode, you will not be able to keep the same team members if you continue after a match. This mode is played with randomized matchmaking and cannot team up with friends. When you select Continue or Change gear and Continue!, you can continue onto the next battle with the same team. In this mode, the amount you inked during the match and any win bonus you receive are added together to determine your Clout. Playing with fewer than four friends will add the appropriate number of other players to your team. ![]() You can play on your own, or join up with 1-3 Switch friends if they're on your same Splatfest team. The main differences between them are matchmaking and how Clout is earned. Both modes feature the same stages and Turf War Rules. Splatfest Rank is a tiered system that will determine how many Super Sea Snails you receive after Splatfest.Splatfest Points are used to raise your Splatfest Rank.Clout are points earned after every battle and will be used when Splatfest is over to determine the winning team. After every Turf War match you'll receive Clout and Splatfest Points (as well as your regular XP, coins, etc). Splatfest features the usual two-hour stage rotation with a bonus third stage, Shifty Station. Visit Splatfest Results for information on how results are determined and to see the previous Splatfest themes and winners. Inkopolis Square is also set at night featuring a live concert by none other than Pearl and Marina! At the end of each Splatfest, participants are awarded Super Sea Snails. During Splatfests, stages are played at night instead of the usual daytime settings and a bonus third stage, Shifty Station, is added to the rotation. Prior to Splatfest, scaffolding and construction can be seen in Inkopolis Square. Your posts may be displayed in-game as banners, graffiti, and billboards with your team's color during Splatfest. Choosing a team also allows you to make Splatfest Posts. After selecting a team, you'll receive your team's corresponding shirt which must be worn during Splatfest Battles. Choose wisely because once you've made your selection, you cannot switch teams. A Pledge Box will appear in Inkopolis Square where players can choose which team they'll represent during Splatfest. It looks like Nintendo will also be keeping the free DLC rolling as well.Splatfests are special themed Turf War events in Splatoon 2 that occur monthly and usually last 24 hours. One week prior to Splatfest, Pearl and Marina will choose opposing teams and provide their opinion of why their team is better. This gives us Splatfests for twice as long as its predecessor and it will also be a way to keep players interested. Nintendo has promised to keep them Splatfests going for at least two years. Before that, we received the Inkbrush in a free update. The new weapon plays most like the Dual Squelcher from Splatoon 1 and look more like power drills than actual weapons. The most recent update, just a few days ago, gave us the Dualie Squelchies. Other updates to hit Splatoon 2 so far gave us a couple guns to play with. It’d certainly be cool to learn more about our Octo-baddies with a new map. We know the Octarians are the bad guys in the story mode of Splatoon led by DJ Octavio. One of the pictures appears to show Marina’s Octarian icon which means we might be learning a little more about Splatoon’s lore. We don’t know how often Splatfests will occur but given we have our second one starting so soon after the first, we’re optimistic that they will appear pretty often. ![]() One good thing about this map is that it will feel unique every time since it will change depending on the Splatfest. We also know that Splatfest support will inevitably end and we wouldn’t want to see any maps locked behind that either. It’d be shame to see a new map locked behind one day of content. ![]() It isn’t known whether this map will remain a Splatfest exclusive or if it’d come into normal game modes after the Splatfest is over. A new stage, Shifty Station, will be added exclusively to the #Splatoon2 #Splatfest rotation! This stage can transform between Splatfests.
